Statistically, your chances of having a bad experience are even higher since you've gone so long without one!peterbromberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18173639411723574123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5430866.post-63043038933231939872008-07-13T20:38:00.000-05:002008-07-13T20:38:00.000-05:00I'll agree with you that the registry is important...I'll agree with you that the registry is important, but in my nearly twenty years of computer experience, the only time I've had to mess with trying to fix/restore a registry was back in Windows 98/98SE/ME days. I believe newer OS's (especially Vista) have alleviated the problem due to proper drivers being installed from the get go. My old issues mainly stemmed from drive controller driver problems (blue screens in the middle of doing a write on FAT32, bam.. registry gone.) Vista probably also works a bit better since it defaults to NTFS for it's filesystem (making "half-writes" almost a thing of the past.)

Anyway, thought I would just throw in my two cents.iransofarawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01387667957643062076noreply@blogger.com
